Where do you go to college? How do you like it there?
I graduated with honours from the University of Latvia (Modern Languages Faculty) but I would like to go back some day and study for a PhD. I love the very building of our faculty, studying there was one of the best experiences in my life.

What is your major area of study? Why did you choose it?
Linguistics - one of the loves of my life. I didn't really choose it, it chose me... Also my Mom is very much into learning different languages and she's always shared her findings with me, ever since I was a child, so that probably played a role too.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.
MUSIC: 70's, 80's, 90's, but I find something I like in every genre, from C&W to rap. An avid fan of two particular bands (pop/rock) which I would and have travelled far to see.
MOVIES & BOOKS: will write later.
TV: I don't watch much TV, so can't say.

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
I do translations (English-Russian-Latvian), it pays my bills but I am looking for a job where I'd be able to utilize my degree more fully.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
Probably one of the biggest things is going to see various cities or countries; usually that coincides with a dog show or trial somewhere, and if we don't win, at least the trip was well worth it! Obviously, I enjoy training my dog; I also love doing something creative; love writing on and/or researching something that boggles my mind; love learning about and experiencing different cultures and traditions; meeting up with friends. There are a lot more things I enjoy doing, and having a great companion to share them with would be so much more fun.

Tell about where you grew up or where you are from.
I was born, raised and currently living in Riga, Latvia, having spent some time abroad working and travelling.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
Audry is a dream of 12 years come true. I first learned about the Weimaraner breed in 1993, and spent the following years researching about it, getting to know it and working hard to be able to import a puppy from the breeder of my choice (who just happened to be located on the other side of the world, in Tasmania, Australia, LOL). Audry was the pick puppy of the litter, as I wanted to show and work with her. I fully trusted my breeder in selecting what she thought would be suitable for me (and what I deserved), and I couldn't have been happier.

What was the most daring / wild thing you have ever done?
I do daring things all the time! Couldn't imagine it otherwise.

What terrifies you?
Diseases that dogs can get, as well as genetic ones carried by recessive genes.

If you were on a deserted island, and you could choose 3 items to take, what would they be?
My laptop (or at least pen&paper), my photo camera and hair conditioner!

Your ultimate intimate dinner party would include which 3 guests (dead or alive)?
Bryan Ferry and Dani Klein, can't think of a third one...

While looking at a person’s profile, following the picture, what are the first things you look for?
The introduction they have typed up and whether I can relate to anything they've said. Normal sentences and spelling matters to me, as I firmly believe that lousy writing is disrespectful of other people that will have to try to decipher it.

What else should we know about you?
I am fascinated by big things such as ships, planes and 18-wheelers and hope to learn to drive a truck some day, just to see how it feels. :)
