Music & pop/rock concerts have been a key part of my life - there was a point when I thought music WAS life, but its less important these days! Faves include Queen, Prince, Pink Floyd etc etc - like most stuff really. Jazz, funk, blues - influenced music. Comedy - mainly Brit satire ! Like reading too - most genres of fiction except science fiction and mush!

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
Used to work as a secretary in London. Not that this was important to me - I did a good job but it was a means to an end. Wanted to travel before getting to the kids/schools stage and temping gave me this freedom. Sometimes did a double shift, just to reach that goal - airfare+spending money=escape the London winter!

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
Now living in France, life is less frenetic. I teach some French students English, on a very part-time basis. School holidays are spent with friends, their kids, my kids, days at the beaches near here or off to explore a river or lake area. Unlike the UK, you can drive back from there, covered in sand, without having to worry about the traffic jams!

What do you hate doing?
Ironing!

Tell about where you grew up or where you are from.
Nothing extraordinary - happy, stable and ordinary childhood in the London suburbs. Earliest happy memories are of picking fruit in grandpa's garden.

What was the most daring / wild thing you have ever done?
Many years ago I was so scared of heights that I decided to do a parachute jump for charity - on the day I had to be pushed out of the plane (instructor knew it was something I DID want to do!)

Used to enjoy scuba diving but its been a long time.

What terrifies you?
No it didn't really cure me (see skydiving episode!)
Still not good on boats - love the idea, hate the reality!

If you were on a deserted island, and you could choose 3 items to take, what would they be?
Practical - tent, matches, chocolate

Frivolous - music collection, stereo and chocolate

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
Thin/average - I can't lose or gain weight, (chocolate makes no difference!)

Generally living, keeping the garden going is enough to stay in shape.
